Classic Collection: Audrey Hepburn

Every week, or a every few days depending on my inspiration, I'm going to do a blog entitled "Classic Collection". This blog will be about the women and men who paved the way for style, beauty, and fashion. Our first feature is of course, on my idol, Audrey Hepburn, whose photo hangs in my 'Breakfast At Tiffany's' themed bathroom.

I have to do a feature on one of the greatest fashion icons ever to walk this earth: Audrey Hepburn! Not only is Audrey the reason I am named Sabrina (she was the lead character in the movie "Sabrina", 1954), but she had a difinitive style that has since been copied over the years. Her elegance and grace made her fan base admire all that she stood for. Her five foot seven inch, 110 lb frame was a muse for many designers, mainly world renowned designer, Givenchy, whom designed most of the costumes for all of Audrey's movies.
Sean Ferrer, Audrey's son, described her style very well: "Style is a word we use often and for a multitude of purposes. In the case of my mother, Audrey Hepburn, it was the extension of an inner beauty held up by a life of discipline, respect for the other and hope in humanity. lf the lines were pure and elegant it was because she believed in the power of simplicity. If there was timelessness it was because she believed in quality and if she still is an icon of style today it is because once she found her look she stayed with it throughout her life. She didn't go with the trends, didn't reinvent herself every season. She loved fashion but kept it as a tool to compliment her look."
